The simplicity of Drift belies the true genius of the design. Fay uses a new tapestry colourwork method of her own invention which produces flawless pattern definition and clean colour changes.

Yarn

Weku Yarn DK (100% superwash Merino; 225m/ 246yd per 100g)
RiverKnits Nene 4-ply/fingering (100% British Bluefaced Leicester; 80m/ 87yd per 20g)

Sample is made in colourways Weku Yarn Enjoli (MC), and RiverKnits Baa (CC1) and Jewel Orange (CC2).

MC: 450m/ 490yd
CC1: 240m/ 260yd
CC2: 240m/ 260yd

Both CC1 and CC2 are held double throughout to create similar weight yarns to MC. If you prefer to use the same DK-weight yarn for CCs, you will need approximately 120m / 130yd of both CC1 and CC2.

Hook & notions

3mm (No US equivalent, use C/2 or D/3)
8 stitch markers
Tapestry needle
Bag handles or straps of your choice
Button snap or magnetic clasp to close top of bag
2 button snaps to close side of bag when folded, with coordinating thread to MC (optional)

Tension

24 htr x 20 rows = 10cm x 10cm/ 4” x 4” before blocking

22 htr x 18.5 rows = 10cm x 10cm/ 4” x 4” after blocking.
