Knots guide
Lark's Head Knot | Double Half Hitch Knot | Square Knot
Lark's Head Knot | |
1. Fold the string in half and place it on top of the ring or support. | |
2. Fold the loop of string behind the support, then pull the two long strands through the loop. | |
3. Pull tight. |
Double Half Hitch Knot | |
1. Take string 1, your guide string, and place it over the other strings. Note: for this project, your ring is the guide and it sits on top of all the strings | |
2. Take the next string behind the guide (ring) and fold it over the guide (ring) forming a loop. | |
3. Pull tight. | |
4. Using the same string repeat Step 2. | |
5. Pull tight and position the two loops next to each other. |
Square Knot | |
1. Bring working string 1 over the filler strings (2-3) heading right. Pass it under string 4. | |
2. Move working string 4 to the left, passing it under the filler strings and over working string 1. | |
3. Pull on both working strings to tighten the knot, while holding the middle strings steady. | |
4. Move working string 4 to the left, passing it overthe filler strings and under working string 1. | |
5. Bring working string 1 under the filler strings (2-3) heading right. Pass it over string 4. | |
6. Tighten the square knot by pulling the working strings, while holding the middle strings steady. |
